กลูตาไธโอน ประโยชน์ หรือ โทษ เรื่องโดย : ผศ.พญ สุวิรากร โอภาสวงศ์ กลูตาไธโอน ประโยชน์ หรือ โทษ กลูตาไธโอน (Glutathione) เป็นสารต้านอนุมูลอิสระที่สำคัญในร่างกาย สามารถพบได้ทุกเซลล์ โดยจะพบในไมโตคอนเดรีย นิวเคลียส และเพอรอกซีโซม ซึ่งกลูต้าไธโอนจะถูกสร้างขึ้นภายในเซลล์และถูกนำส่งออกมานอกเซลล์โดยอาศัยตัวพามาเก็บสำรองไว้ที่ตับ เซลล์ประเภทอื่นๆที่พบสารนี้มาก เช่น เซลล์เม็ดเลือดแดง เม็ดเลือดขาว ปอด ไต ตับอ่อน เลนส์ จะพบน้อยในพลาสมา กลูตาไธโอนเป็นสารประเภท Tripeptide ประกอบไปด้วยกรดอะมิโนสามชนิด ได้แก่ Cysteine , Glycine , Glutamic acid โดยหน้าที่หลักของสารตัวนี้มีสามประการคือ 1
