Activities

As an audiovisual specialist you will create content for all our channels. You will work for example with the marketing team, expo team or the education team to provide

  • Audiovisual content creation (video and/or photography)
  • Organisation or support of photoshoots
  • Maintenance of photo- and video archive
  • Maintenance of the AV equipment
  • Part of the video team for video shoots, editing and/or animation.
  •  
  • Optional: structural production of Instagram stories
  • Optional: production of vlogs (new project)
  • Optional: technical production of our podcasts
Profile

You have completed or are almost finished with an audiovisual, photography or videography training. You can work with an existing house style and project documents and you have your own audiovisual material. You are creative, have good communication skills, have an eye for detail, you work independently and are open to feedback.

  • Enthusiastic about the vision and objective of NonFiction Photo.
  • A practical attitude with an eye for deadlines.
  • A strong team player who is also able to work independently.
  • You know how to operate different types of cameras.
  • You can work with editing softwares.
  • You understand sound, colour and light.
  • You are creative and communicative.
  • A training in the field of audiovisual at at least MBO level.
  • Experience with commissioned photography or videography is an advantage.
Internship

It is possible to fill this vacancy as an intern, from 5 ECT. Under the guidance of experienced professionals you can work part time or full time. We adjust the internship period, duration and content to fit your course and education level. This is a challenging internship with hard deadlines, especially if you have your run between October and December.

Traineeship

If you are at the start of your career, it is possible to fulfill this position as a trainee. This is a work experience place with personal guidance and a lot of responsibility.

NonFiction Photo Community

NonFiction photo is an ideological organisation with an eye for its people. Here you work both independently and in a team as part of a diverse team in a creative environment. You have plenty of room for self-development, get a look behind the scenes of a large-scale cultural event and can meet (well-known) photographers. The team meets up monthly for consultation and conviviality and ends the period with a party. Thanks to the direct way of communication, there is a lot of room for your own initiative and creativity.

Extra

A number of specific features for this function:

  • As a trainee or professional, the maximum monthly volunteer allowance of €170 per month is available for this position.
  • It is possible to come up with a proposal for your own project, such as a vlog series, video series or campaign.
  • It is possible to work with our arsenal of AV material, but it is useful to have your own material available. The photo studio obviously has its own equipment.
  • Analogue shooting is negotiable.

Working Period

First half of the year

From February to July you are committed to content creation and projects such as pop-up exhibitions, podcasts, lessons on location and workshops.

Second half of the year

You are active from September to December. During the festival you help as a photo and/or videographer alongside the participants of the Talent Track Photography. You are present during the construction and dismantling of the festival and you are present at a number of volunteer meetings (2 to 3 evenings during the week in October and November).

Weekly

You work two to three days a week (depending on how fast you work) mainly at our office between 10am and 6pm. The working days and times can be agreed upon in consultation, as long as everything is completed on time. Working (partly) at home is also negotiable.

The tasks can be expanded, depending on your availability and interests. It is possible to shift the timing of the work in consultation.
