No festival without volunteers. NonFiction Photo, at its core, is a team of makers who, with the help of dozens of volunteers, manages to organize events. Want to be part of this? Join this upcoming edition as a maker, tour guide or host.
"I found it a lot of fun to work together with everyone that has formed this community and I really feel to be part of this. Thanks to the festival I met a lot of interesting people that I would otherwise never have met with!" - Volunteer 2021
"Being a volunteer with NonFiction Photo has helped me grow as a person. I wanted to be more involved with the cultural sector in Groningen and joining NonFiction Photo was a no-braier to accomplished just that." - Maurits, 2018
NonFiction photo is an ideological organization with an eye for its people. Here you work both independently and in a team as part of a diverse team in a creative environment. You have plenty of room for self-development, get a look behind the scenes of a large-scale cultural event and can meet (well-known) photographers. The team meets monthly for consultation and conviviality and ends the period with a party.
Guide the visitors and groups around the exhibition, meet groups at the desk, man the wardrobe, interact with the visitors in the exhibition’s living room and provide them with the necessary information. School tours will be given in Dutch; for this reason we have a maximum of two English speaking education volunteers.
Welcome and inform visitors at their arrival, sell tickets at the front desk, manage the exhibition and the building.
Do you have something to offer? We are always looking for people with superpowers in PR, photography, graphic design and everything we didn’t even know we needed.
Want to join? Apply before the 5th of October via firstname.lastname@example.org. When applying, please state which position you are interested in, which languages you speak and your telephone number. If you are still unsure or if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us because we are happy to help you.
