Young Makers

Talent is the future. That's why we want to be a breeding ground for talented individuals.

The Young Makers project was an initiative that helped young photographers showcase their talent to the world. The programme consisted of a photo project, coaching and an exhibition.

Currently we are welcoming talented people to the Talent Track and the Volunteer project.

Young Makers exposition

Under the guise of 'local solutions to global problems', young makers portray the Northern energy story in the exhibition Solutions: Energy which took place in 2019. The exhibition was visited by some 6,000 people and the project was supported by our production team of international and local talents and volunteers.

Concept

They create a documentary or portrait series based on a theme. This series is made in the context of so-called solution-oriented journalism: images that report on progressive projects, innovative organizations, inspiring phenomena and do-gooders. The series will be included in a curated current photo exhibition from the North.

These 'local solutions to global problems' manifested in the Solutions: Energy exhibition. This was in conjunction with the World Press Photo Exhibition 2019. Both exhibitions were part of the Nonfiction Photo Festival 2019.
